This is the first book that I have picked up by this author and it’s provoking me to want to read the rest of it (but I can’t). The writing style entices you due to the different versions of the unfolding events - it’s quirky and yet purposeful in tantalising the reader’s imagination on which way is up. It creates the illusion of there being endless possibilities: sometimes the outcome is dependent on your behaviours/reactions, other times it’s that others intervene and then then finally the idea that it comes down to fate and that we have no control over it.
