There is some good writing, the story was evolvIng nicely, but then there were a few speed bumps to traverse. When Adelaide talks to the boy she fancies the conversation repeats 3-4 times with slightly different irrelevant outcomes, this jarred the progression of my engagement. I assume this is her playing the conversation in her head, but this added little If anything to the story.
The characters all have weird names, Buchwald meaning book forest, then theres the dogs, Shake-and-bake, Sundowner and Harris, great names for dogs, i liked that.
This could be a good read for the right audience, definitely not my kettle of rioters.
