When I started reading this first chapter, honestly I felt like it was a little too fast. The author seemed to introduce the character very quickly, and I would have liked much more description and careful introduction first.
However, after I while I did definitely get into it, especially once the second character was introduced. I was intrigued about the characters and how their conversation and relationship was going to go. I also quite liked the interesting technique of writing what would happen twice, with different variations. It felt quite relatable - that idea of playing out a situation in your head before it happens, and then comparing it to the actual result. I've read a couple of E. Lockhart books before - I loved one (We Were Liars) and wasn't very keen on the other (Genuine Fraud) ... So I'd like to see how I would feel about this one!
