For young people growing up in the world today, this storey makes me feel so sad. In life, the poor girl at the core of this storey definitely has some problems to deal with. Her brother, who became involved in drugs and took an overdose, seems to be the main concern. For any loving sister to contend with, this would be very difficult. The girl, named Adelaide, has also been having issues with her boyfriend, which is also a bad thing for a young girl to go through.
The book is targeted at an audience of young adults and maybe the author hopes that many young people can identify with Adelaide and maybe they will use a storey like this to help them deal with the challenges they face themselves.
