This book is amazing!
Eleanor has been obsessed with the ways the world could end since she was a child. Recently her dad has been diagnosed with cancer leading to her increasing the amount she researches and plans for the end of the world. Alongside some OCD tendencies for cleanliness and a mother who is showing her grief by latching on to any and all alternative therapies she can.
Over the course of a term in Eleanor's life you see her go through denial, anger and eventually acceptance that we have to move on but as long as we remember no one truly leaves us.
The writing style appealed, it was economical and gave a different voice to all the characters. I'd love to have a companion novel from Julian's point of view, maybe set afterwards.
