The book wasn't my usual go to, I don't normally read "chick" novels, however the fact this was based on or inspired by true events I just had to read it, this story was so touching. I read the first look and wanted more straight away.

The story lies with two inseparable best friends, friends who in reality at the time should not have been together let alone best friends.

Their friendship is definitely put to the test when the war begins and it tests their strength and resolve, will they be able to not only outrun the bombs and the nazis but hold on to the friendship they both treasure.

History is definitely my niche, true stories are too. Not only is this book historic but also true.

WW2 was hard on so so many people, Auschwitz was a place that many people feared and rightly so. The friendship should never have happened but the girls try and survive not only for their lives but for each other.

Absolutely well done to the author, I am definitely looking forward to reading more.
