It didn't take me long to finish this book and it is always a good sign. It was easy to read and to follow. Then again it was not a very predictable story as kept doubting in peoples motoves and sanity. There were some good twists and surprises that I did enjoy. Some of the scenes were pretty cruesome and descriptive. I think that there was a fair dose of fairness and unfairness..In the beginning I really felt sorry for the main character but then somewhere in the middle of the story I was not so sure anymore. I was surprised but I quess that it did make the book more interesting. I'd describe it as a good psychological horror / thriller. Be warned about the animal cruelty though.. not the easiest part to read.
