Black Mamba - the title itself is gripping and unusual. I read through the whole extract and I want to know more - so much is left to be revealed page by page, but so far I can build up picture of Alfie who has been left widowed with two young twins in 'Hart House' with its strange 'goings on' that is affecting the young girls. Add to this the strange mother-in-law who seems to want to impose onto him when the relationship between mother and former wife was not anything more than civil. This is all very intriguing, and I would have liked to have had a chance to win this book to be able to read it in full. Sadly I write this review after the deadline - so am unable. Great bit of escapism I suspect and a thoroughly good read so far. I am giving it 5 stars (something I don't often do - but I could not put down the extract and read until the end) Loved it!!!!!!!!!
