I absolutely loved this suburban chiller, the story is seen from two points of view, Alfie and Pippa’s twin sister Julia who is a psychotherapist struggling with her own demons after their devastating loss.
The grieving aspect of the book is very well written and sensitive to the struggles. The introduction, in the middle of the night, the Black Mamba- who was a man but who is not always a man but is in their room or in their heads is both creepy and tense and as the story unfolds it becomes more and more sinister.
The novel looks at the relationship between Alfie and Julia and how they handle the appearance of Black Mamba.
I liked the ending. I liked the plot and I loved the characters. A very dark and strange novel which held my attention to the very end
