I am a huge Pride and Prejudice fan and I have always wondered what came of Charlotte and Mr Collins.
Interestingly, the author has presented Mr Collins as sympathetic kind and capable of compassion an antithesis of the man described by Elizabeth. Likewise Charlotte is presented as strong and complex unlike the flat and boring Charlotte in Pride and Prejudice. Immediately introducing the death of her son and then her grief completely grips the reader.
I will definitely read the whole book to find out what happens to her daughter's inheritance and whether Lizzy does have an heir.
