I really enjoyed reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, so when I heard about the book Charlotte, which is supposed to be a continuation, I was really excited to read it.
I thought the cover of the book was really beautiful, especially in hardcover.
The book follows the story of Charlotte Lucas who is married to Mr Collins and her life afterwards. I thought the opening chapter was very good, the author used beautiful and descriptive language. The beginning was also very heartbreaking and emotional as we deal with loss.
However, I did think at times the book was slightly slow moving in places making it a bit boring. Nevertheless I thought it was a great great, to find out what happened to Charlotte. I though the author did a great job at continuing Jane Austen's book and style of writing.
