Charlotte follows the life of one of the characters from the Jane Austen classic, Pride and Prejudice. Charlotte was a minor character in the original book so its nice to see her in a more starring role.
Charlotte has married Mr. Collins, the vicar and has settled into her new life as a clergyman's wife.The book opens on a very sad sombre event and that event changes Charlotte's life forever.
Elizabeth Bennett now Mrs Darcy also features in this book and she proves to be a great friend to Charlotte in her time of need. We get the impression that Elizabeths marriage to Mr. Darcy is not quite as perfect as it appears.
The style of writing is similar to Jane Austen with a modern twist that makes it easier to comprehend. I enjoyed this book for the most part as the author has a great gift for describng people but it is a bit longer that it needs to be. I would definitely read more from this author.
