This again is another adventure for Kellan, which picks up after the ending of the second book. This style of book is fantastic for me with no long breaks between the books. However for me this is the weakest so far in the series. I have read this book twice now and while I remembered what happened in the first 2 books (on the second reading) for me this book didn't have that kind of impact.

Kellan is carrying on this mission to free the students from the worms that have been implanted. He goes through knowing that his people have something to do with them but is in for a shock when he finds out who it is. His strong will and love for his sister leads him to risk everything to save her, his father knowing this, has put him in this situation to do this. Using him and his sister in his game for power.

One thing different about this book to the other 2 is there is more of an emotional toll for Kellan as he meets up with the girl he fancies from the first book. This was a nice touch and showed his more vulnerable side, I would assume there is a bigger plan for this part of the story line which I can't wait to read in the next book.
