I loved this book! Watching Kellen's character development from the whiny and weak Jan tep boy he was to the recklessly brave hero he's become has been amazing, to say the least. Kellen has progressed immensely since the second book and I'm honestly here for it. He went from being someone with only one band sparked and nothing but a bunch of breath spells, to a man with coin dancing, powder firing, and a satzuei under his belt. This book makes you ask the same questions as the one's the characters are asking themselves which makes the reading experience feel that much more immersive. It was also nice to be re-introduced to a familiar character from the first book. All in all, i would say another great read from Sebastien! I can't wait to read the next book i know it's going to be filled with even more action and witty humour along the way.
