I don’t usually read none fiction books but when I do I often go for books like this. The cover is nice and bright, happy and funny that not only sums up the book but also the attitudes of most of war time Britain when they came together to smile though this difficult time in history.
I am only in my late twenties so I can’t even begin to imagine what life was like back then, but I work as a care assistant and love hearing the stories my residents tell me. One such resident is a lady aged 98 who has many stories to tell. She borrowed this book of me and said she found it hillarous. She said it is well written and brought back some good and funny memories from an awful time. It was a most enlightening and enjoyable read.
