A truly fantastic book all about life for everybody during world war two, this features people's stories of what they had to eat because of all the rationed food like sugar, and sausages, and how hard it was to make those rations stretch to say a family of seven or eight as was incredibly common back then. It also contains the wonderful comeraderie and their desire to make the very best out of the most awful situation you could find yourself in ever. There are some really fun recipes in here too which I'm looking forward to having a go to see exactly what it was like to eat food in the style of world war II. An amazing read I couldn't put it down I've actually read it several times now, although sad in places this really is a book that we all need to read!
