I previously brought this for my mum who was born in the 50's. She saw it, and was instantly taken back to her childhood days. She recommended that I have a read, and I'm so glad I did. Full of laughter and emotion, this book makes you appreciate everything we have, and to be thankful that life isn't as tough as it was back then. It brings to life how important the little things are, and how much we take for granted. What we have now compared to the rations, and whether there was enough to make a Christmas cake.
