This book surprised me that it was so enjoyable that you need to read just one more chapter before putting it down! The plot is a bit different and has some good twists and turns. It’s well written and the plot flows along nicely. The characters are believable and varied.
The main character is Elizabeth de Mornay a S O E agent in Paris. She ends up in Lisbon, posing as a French Widow, where she tries to infiltrate a German spy ring targeting British shipping. The book tells her story as she evades discovery whilst socialising with German Officers in Neutral Portugal in 1943.
I can recommend this novel and await the sequel with great anticipation. I think Mara Timon is an author to watch out for!
