I did enjoy this book, but it felt very much like a sequel even though it's not, and at the beginning this nearly put me off.
However as I had an advance copy to review thanks to Readers First I persevered, and I'm glad I did as the story settled down and I enjoyed the book.
The story is told from the perspective of a female special operations officer, who starts the story in France, but is then sent to Lisbon during WW2. Lisbon is supposed to be neutral, but there are people working for all sides, and few people are as they originally present themselves. Elisabeth, or Solange as she is known is a strong willed leading character, and her interaction with others works well. There are some of the other characters, I was not as keen on, but overall it was an enjoyable book.
