This was a very different book for me . The story layout is in a prose poem type style and although well written I did feel something was lost in the narration.
Camino and Yahaira are unaware of each other until their father dies and the girls find out they are sisters living miles apart . They each have their own prose writing of their own personal stories and at times it is difficult to tell them apart. I think the author is trying to show us how similar these siblings are even though they have very different lifestyles and ideas they have fundamental basics that are similar to each other . The book shows the diversity between the different cultures and how their upbringing has lead them to be very different characters . They are times when I am not sure if I like the girls or not but I think this adds to the storyline and to show we are not all the same.
