When you are younger, you assume that you will have your life together by the time you are 40. But what if this is not the case? This book describes the life of Nell, who constantly compares her life to those of her friends. She feels like a failure with no husband, no amazing career and no children. But, she soon comes to the realisation that all of her friends have the same feelings as her, they do not have the perfect lives she envisioned. They even envy her life.
This book is brilliantly funny, but also has a lot of important messages in it. Nell meets so many amazing characters along the way and comes to the realisation that her family and her friends should be the most important things to her, nothing else should matter.
