First of all let me start this by saying I am clearly out of it for me - 17 - to be reading a book about the messed up life of a 40 year old. But I felt like reading something out of the norm for me and considering this book does not really fit into my typical reading tastes I actually did enjoy the storyline.

It was actually quiet eye opening to the struggles that come with a mundane life. Let me just say I am now a lot most sympathetic to the middle aged plight. And am dreading ageing now - no but on a serious note I actually really did enjoy the book and am a little less frightened of ageing now.

I was pleasantly surprised by the humour in this book, it wasn’t cringe middle aged dad jokes but the characters were actually surprisingly entertaining.

The cover is really pretty and is beautifully simplistic as it leaves a lot to the characters imagination which I really appreciated.
