Fantastic not what I was expecting but better. An insight into the German side of the war, not everyone followed Hitler happily. You read a lot about the resistance in France and Italy but this is Holland and Belgium. Bravery and romance. I have followed the African family from the start and it is nice to catch up with them all. It is amazing how nasty people can be too other people especially if they feel superior themselves. It is also worth remembering it was not just the Jews in the camps others were being exterminated as well,though it was good that this part was not over emphasised. It is always a wonder that anyone survived the camps and the War itself. A good read that is difficult to put down.
