I'm very much into quality historical fiction at the moment having adored Bloods Game recently. "Cradle" by James Jackson looks exactly like what I have been enjoying in historical stories, a time you can only imagine through words and books. The cover is brilliant, the beautiful old gun firing implies there is to be a lot of action and having read the first impression of an Englishman pleading for his life as a deer antlered priest dances before him as they prepare for his execution gives such an impressive scenario of natives and colonists coming together for survival. I'd love to read this and feel very excited at the prospect of reviewing it if possible.
