When I first started to read this novel I thought I wasn't going to like it, I didn't like the style, however after the first fifty pages I started to get engrossed so much so that I couldn't put it down. It is a great mystery novel and I didn't know where it was going most of the time. The story is very clever and I didnt know who to believe.
The story centres around a very dysfunctional family who own a vineyard and all seem to be addicted to alchol. There are many characters in the book, the main ones being twins Zelda and Ava. Ava has been in Paris for the last two years and has come back because her sister Zelda has presumably died in a fire or has she? Zelda has left emails and letters to Ava so she resolve the mystery.
Not many of the characters are likeable , maybe Wyatt who has relationships with both Ava and Zelda.
I think many themes are covered in the book one being dealing with an illness like dementia and what is can do to a family. I think that right to the end you are unaware of what is going to happen and the ending for me was satisfying. All in all a good read.
