‘Defy The Worlds’ is a brilliantly told sci-fi novel which is the sequel to the book ‘Defy The Stars’.
The main story line involves the complex and romantic relationship between Naomi, a human soldier for the planet Genesis and Abel who is the most advanced mechanical person ever to be made. It appears that in the previous novel these two characters were somehow forced to part. However the sequel proves the strong bond between them when their paths cross again while Naomi is attempting to save the planet Genesis from Earths cruel attack.
I have to say I would not normally choose to read a sci-fi novel however the First Look intrigued me and left me with so many unanswered questions that left me desperate to continue reading.
I also haven’t yet read ‘Defy The Stars’ however this didn’t in any way prevent me from understanding or enjoying this novel and I now plan to read the prequel which I'm hoping will reveal much more of Naomi and Abel's complex relationship.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and will look forward to the inevitable sequel.
