Not as gripping or as fun as Maestra but still a great read for a holiday or when you just want some escapism. The plot is more ludicrous, scandalous and salacious than the first book but more is done to look at Judith's character and give the reader an idea as to how she became the way she is. Her back story is intriguing, if not a bit cliched, and it adds another layer to Judith that the first book was missing.
The plot covers the globe, as ever, and is full of twists and turns and gratuitous sex scenes along the way. LS Hilton writes well but the plot does become a bit laughable in places. However, this is a book you take with a pinch of salt and if you go in not expecting literary greatness, then you will enjoy this raunchy little thriller.
