I received this book from Readers First in exchange for an honest review.
A tale of art fraud and murder told from a pawn in the crime world who thinks she is a master manipulator!

This book is the sequel to Maestra which I hadn't read and, in honesty, I don't think it matters. The events of that book appear in several chapters of this as Judith reworks what she knows and how she ended up in the situation she is in.
I liked the final act, it gripped me enough to finish the last 100 pages in one go which given how the book started impressed me. The writing was smooth and descriptive, including some interesting turns and characters.

I didn't like the graphic sex scenes, the in depth look at the art world or the fact it ends on a cliff hanger. Each of these lost it a star.
Overall this book wasn't my cup of tea but if you are interested in dark crime from the criminals point of view then it should suit.
