I absolutely flew through the first three chapters of this book and to be honest, if it wasn't a first impression I would still be reading, probably having to set an alarm to remind me to pick the kids up!
With one of the most gripping starts to a novel I have ever read, this book looks like it is going to sink a hand deep down into your biggest fears and really twist them about at a break neck speed. The whole atmosphere from the very first paragraph is fear and I suspect this won't let up.
Although I feel huge sympathy for the character of Alex I already get the sense she may not be the most likeable, and I do enjoy a protagonist like that.
The jacket of the novel depicts well the style of the book, with the up close face and the squashed in writing, claustrophobic and intense - that is what this book is going to be about.
