This was a MAD read! The first scene was absolutely terrifying and I instantly felt for the protagonist - it was such a clever start and I couldn’t even believe what I was reading as it got into the book...just unbelievable.
It was such a clever, clever concept and with each victim I felt more and more confused - but in a good way! I never really felt I could trust anyone and some of the characters were written as such clever and interesting signposts - they really helped the story move alone without making it seem obvious or suspicious. The writing was so clever that it took me ages to work out who the villain was!
My only complaint was that the finale had so much happening in it, and I wish it could have been a bit longer to have made sure that everything that happened was really given time to understand because it was super rushed. It would have been great to see retribution too, as the protagonist suffered a lot!
