Richard is a successful classical pianist who gave up his family-his marriage and his daughter, Grace for his work. One day, Richard started to lose his feeling in his right hand fingers so he cancelled his concerts. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning for him. After Karina finds out about Richard’s disease, everything changes for the both of them.

Every Note Played is about pain, suffering, divorce, love and forgiveness. I don’t have any favourites from the characters since I’ve learned a lesson from each of them. This was the first book that I have read written by Lisa Genova yet everything felt so real to me. I know some information about ALS but this book is very detailed. I don’t want to put this book down when I was reading it but because of the emotions, I had to. I just had to. My favourite part was everything. My heart was literally crying which got me blubbing silently. Luckily, I wasn’t in public when I was reading that part or else everyone will stare at me. Trust me, I didn’t want to stop. I f I have loads of free time then I probably read this book every month or every week rather. The only thing that I find difficult is when Richard and Karina need to be together despite the anger that they had or each other.

This book was far above rom my liking. If you love reading medical fiction and everything that makes you sobbing, then this book is for you. If you don’t like reading those kind of book, then yyou should definitely try this one. MAYBE this time, your views will change.
P.S. Lisa Genova, thank you for touching my heart.
