This immense book told the story about a man who has motor neurone disease and his ex wife. It involved many complex issues and emotions and the author carried this out in an excellent way. There were many moments of laughter, sadness and alot of embarrassment on both parts. I feel as a health care professional myself that this book portrayed a very believable point of view from Richard and his ex wife, their emotions through the difficult decisions and moments where the disease got the better of them. I very much enjoyed this book and can definitely see the similarities with Jojo Moyes 'Me before you' books. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy this genre or those who want to try something different.
