Marc Dane is back though not with Rubicon but with the UN Division of Nuclear Security after a favour was called in on his behalf. His unwillingness to listen to orders means that he is not liked by his managers and when he thinks he has found a nuclear suitcase bomb they do not believe him. This leads to his reaching out once more to Rubicon for help in what becomes a global hunt for the weapon and those that have acquired it.
To say that Marc becomes objective orientated is to say the least and his actions place him and those he works with in danger from a range of deadly professionals all intent to get hold of the weapon.
While it is fast paced at times I found that there were periods in which the story began to drag a bit – this may be due to the length of the chapters as I find that short chapters in a book leads in my mind to the action being quicker.
