I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE BOOK.
I have never read any of Karin's books and this one right here convinced me to read all her other books.
The first chapter opens up with Callie babysitting Trevor. I found it hard to get through the first few pages but once I got accustomed to Karin's style and the way she was carrying the story, I found it more enjoyable.
Thrillers are not what I often read as occasionally the writer can't do the story justice.
False Witness is a must buy for those who love a good thriller, no time wasting with difficult word. However be warned that there are some graphic details.
Her characters were mostly well written and found myself being able to relate to both Callie and Leigh although they seemed to be quite opposite of each other!

Some down sides of the book that put me off was the lack of Maddy's presence. We don't really encounter her as all the conversations are through phone calls between her and Maddy. I wish there was more to it so we could see how important Maddy was to both Walter and Leigh.
We also don't get to see more of Leigh's big moments in her career that made her such a good lawyer.

But overall I believe this is Karin's writing style and she doesn't like to waste time and words with unnecessary events that doesn't further the plot.
