Initially I was worried about starting this one as I've not read the first book in the series (Bloody January). However, I shouldn't have worried at all as I was easily able to follow the plot and relate to the characters without having read the first book.
From the start it was a great read, which was fast paced and difficult to put down!
The story takes place in the 1970s in Glasgow, Scotland. Harry McCoy has a new case a rising young footballer has been murdered and a message has been carved into his chest.
I did really enjoy this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes a good crime thriller. I can't wait to read the next book in this series and see how the characters develop further.
