This is such a weird book. But in such a good way. Like, I don't really know where to begin with the plot. It starts with a guy hunting tuna with his seal pal, and moves onto a girl who is running away from her brother who is building her coffin - despite her still being alive - to a man on a wombat farm and a man made of fire. The stories are all so beautifully connect and intertwined and the narrative flows so smoothly between them all. It's also the perfect mix of reality and fantasy/magical realism. It's such good prose with the right amount of weird. I absolutely loved it and I'm just sorry it took me so long to get around to reading but I cannot wait to check out more of Arnott's work in the future.
