This huge story encompasses the globe, catching up many historical figures to collide into Jenny's travels. It is a moving account of the unusual life of a strong woman. Based fairly closely on the real-life Mary Bryant, it is still very much a work of fiction and the author lets her imagination take free rein. The life, times and adventures are fascinating, the details intriguing and the hardships barely believable.
