This is a dark adventure story full of magic and angels. It take place in the 1900's in the Babarian forest. One night a cherub is blown into Cassie Engel's bedroom during a storm. Not knowing what to do she shares it with Raphael, her best friend. As they start to look for clues strange things start to happen with dark forces all around them in the shape of big birds, the sturmfalkens, and stuffed owls in the owlery changing direction. Cassie begins to find out secrets from her families past that help protect her family and friends and also unearths further secrets along the way. This is a great story that was hard to get into at first but worth persevering with as nothing and no one are what it seems. It is quirky and eerie at times. It is mysterious and you do become engrossed in the storyline and the characters. Well recommend as well written.
