Lucy Hope writes a fast paced fun novel about a fledgling that appears on earth and Cassie has to look after it and figure out what its intention is. I thoroughly enjoyed how this book threw you straight into the story immediately, it gives you lots of action and adventure from the get go and has a steady stream of it throughout. It all happens generally in one area the house and this is greatly described throughout the story and hearing about Grandad Engel the great inventor was such a source of fun for me.
This book often focuses in on the owls and the signs they are showing and what this and other signs could all mean. It introduces fun characters who have such a personality its fun to read and it is full of so many twists and turns at each stage that I struggled to put the book down because I really wanted to know what the next twist would be.
I don't think I will forget this book quickly as it was such a fun read and the last chapter with a fast forward to what life was like after some of the incidents was everything I wanted in a novel.
