This is an excellent book for young adult readers. I adore the dark, gothic ideas in the book, and the picture throughout transports you to a wonderful Bavarian woodland.

Set in the dark woodland with a peculiar mansion. Cassie Engel's life is turned upside down when a cherub appears through her bedroom window on a dark and stormy night. They must figure out why this celestial being has arrived with the help of her best buddy Raphael. Along the process, we get to meet the Engel family's rather strange and quirky members.

In person, the cover is just as beautiful and draws the eye. This is a book that I strongly suggest you read.

Also, I think it's too gloomy for a younger reader because it becomes fairly dark in places.

However, Lucy Hope has had a fantastic debut, and we can only hope for more in the future. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any future novels by Lucy Hope.
