Friends and Liars is the debut novel by Kaela Coble.
The story is about the reunion of a group of friends at the funeral of one of the group where each of the group has a letter which contains a secret that they would all prefer not to be shared.
Each chapter is written from the point of view of one of the characters and is based either in now or in the past. Unfortunately I didn't like this style as the story jumped around and you didn't know enough about some of the characters to engage with them or to fully understand why they did what they did.
I also didn't enjoy the story as much as I thought I would.
Whilst some will I enjoy the book it isn't for me and an opportunity for a really good book has been missed
