This book was very well written, extremely graphic in descriptions particularly of some of the violent scenes. There were a lot of description of horrible things that you might not necessarily want to imagine. However, it made complete sense. I enjoyed parts of it and it was realistic enough to completely creep me out! Suitably scared after reading and perhaps not the best book to read while on holiday in the countryside far from civilisation!
Definitely worth a read for crime fans. It is very dark though. There were quite a few parts that I found difficult to read.
The main characters were fairly likeable - despite their flaws. You did find yourself routing for them even when they were being stupid!
I also had my suspicions about the culprit(s) from the moment they appeared in the novel. I’m never sure whether to like or hate that about a book!
