I was lucky enough to win a print copy of this book and read it over three sittings. This is apparently the third book in this series but equally is absolutely fine as a standalone. It is realistic and timely, with the issues of gangs and knife crime in the news and forefront of our minds as much as they are. Kate London tackles these issues extremely well from the point of view of both the people involved in the gangs and the police officers trying to deal with them. The characters are rich, involved and easy to relate to. This book is really humanising in a way a lot of crime novels struggle to be. I found this book thought provoking and moving (I cried at the end). Overall, a really great read.
