This book blew me away. Although the author has written other books (which I am definitely going to find) you don't need to read them in order to appreciate this book.
Will loads of different characters and different crimes happening they all start interlocking with each other. A young boy gets stabbed in an alleyway, a friend as the witness. A police officer who is a new mum with a complicated relationship, different police divisions all trying to catch the biggest fish and solve the problems and gang territory fights going off.
It feels confusing to start with but very quickly on you can see the story building and plots falling into place.
This book is tense and captivating, keeps you reading and wanting to turn the pages quicker to find out what happens. It's quick paced and completely captivating. This is one author that isn't going to fade, her writing is brilliant and shows depth and understanding of situations.
