A little slow in places

This is an engaging debut, with a cleverly interlinked plot. I enjoyed this book, and the two parallel stories of Agenta and Sara, but in places I found it a little slow, and too much time was spent with a single story at the expense of the other storyline.
When Agneta receives a phone call with the single word Geiger, she waves off her children and grandchildren then calmly shoots her husband Stellan, before retrieving hidden items and disappearing. She then picks up a job she has not touched for 30 years, and begins killing others.
Sara Novack, a vice police officer and childhood friend of Agnetas daughters is called by a colleague to inform her of Stelkans death, and Sara begins to investigate. What she finds out rocks her childhood memories, and alongside her vice job getting out of hand, she struggles.
