This book was interesting to say the least, I was immediately drawn in by the cover and the premise, seemingly unlike other books I have read previously and it was nice to pick up something different. I do think it was well written and wasn’t difficult to read but I did find it slightly puzzling in parts and confusing rather than intriguing but only for some sections. I still enjoyed getting to know the characters and their motives and attempting but failing to predict how they were going to react next. I found it fascinating to have a Swedish perspective and it really paints Sweden in a different light to what you would normally think.
The story could be a little slow when description was heavy such in the case of family relationships for example but overall a really worthy read and an interesting take on the Cold War experience for any history lovers!
