Geiger was a different read for me altogether but it took me to new places. It was the synopsis that really took me in and the first chapter completely threw me altogether. The shock and contrast between typical happy grandparents, family visit and children playing to the grandmother actually killing her partner before fleeing. What a beginning to a story!

Then it all fell a little.. flat for me. It fell into encrypted paths / logic, historical logic, a lot I definitely would not have learnt otherwise and I won't lie. I started to lose interest and glazed over several parts of the read. I think it's accurately written when it recommends for fans of I am Pilgrim. It's clever, real good plot twists and one that can keep some readers going - but for me.. not so much. I also loved that she was an older protagonist, she's courageous and full of heart.
