This is a new author to me and I did enjoy it. The characters are well drawn and it is refreshing to have an older protagonist and a female detective.
The setting of the book is well drawn and the whole story draws the reader in. The story is well done with the connection between fifty years ago and today.
The translation is well done and difficult to detect that it was not written in English.
