This is an enjoyable tale, which is actually difficult to write about without giving too much away. Here’s what I can say:
We join Agneta and Stellan Broman as they are looking after their grandchildren, whilst their daughters and husbands are away on a week-long holiday. By the end of the first chapter: the children have been picked up, a telephone call which consists of just two words has taken place, and Stellan has been shot in the head (None of these are spoilers, Stellan’s death is in the blurb).
So starts a search for the murderer and for Agneta, who has gone missing…
There are many characters in this book, and at times it can be difficult to remember who they all are. I found myself checking back on occasion to confirm who somebody was. All in all this is an enjoyable, if complex, tale of deception, terrorism, espionage and The Cold War.
