The blurb on the back of the book sounded really good and I really thought that I was going not be able to put this book down. I was intrigued and excited to start this book.
Unfortunately I was unable to finish this book as I found it really slow and the plot was ok and the characters were reasonably convincing but the writing quality and storytelling was very much lacking. I wasn't really hooked at all and found myself really persevering, particularly through the middle parts. So many Swedish place names were mentioned that seemed to have no relevance other than to confuse me as to who was where. Whilst I'm sure that might work for a Swedish readership it was just confusing for someone unfamiliar with the language and geography. I think that perhaps something was lost in translation here, perhaps it worked better in Swedish.
